The Opera Project presents its annual memorial concert on May 19th at 3:00 PM at the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church, Fourth Street, Frenchtown, NJ. “The Opera Project Says Farewell” is to honor the two valued company members we lost this year: bass-baritone Don Sheasley and Celtic harpist Carol Thompson. Don Sheasley was a renowned figure in the life of opera companies in the tri-state area for more than forty years. Carol Thompson, considered one of the finest Celtic harpists in America, was a Grammy-winning artist who performed with the Paul Winter Consort and the Chieftains. She was a beloved teacher and a resident of Frenchtown. This concert of arias, duets and art songs is a celebration and our way of honoring their lives.
